Q1 I downloaded the free version of djay for iOS, but I can't control it using the DDJ-400.

You cannot use the DDJ-400 with the free version. You need to use the in app purchase.

Q2 When I move the crossfader while using djay, the headphone CUE is automatically switched. Can I disable this function?
A2

Yes. You can enable/disable it as follows.

[djay for iOS]
1. Taps djay icon > Gear icon on the top of the screen.
2. Tap [Advanced].
3. Tap [Auto Select] in [PRE-CUEING].

[djay Pro for Mac]
1. Click Headphone icon on the top left of the screen.
2. Uncheck [Auto Select].

[djay Pro for Windows]
1. Click Menue button on the top left of the screen.
2. Uncheck [Auto-select active deck].

Q3 How do I connect the iOS device to the DDJ-400?

Q4 I connected the DDJ-400 with an iOS device but the power does not turn on, or does not function properly.

Please check the USB power adaptor or the the mobile battery.
[When using the USB power adaptor]
If you are using an iOS device with a Lightning port, please use Apple's official 12W USB power adaptor.
If you are using an iOS device with a USB-C port, please use Apple's official 18W USB-C power adaptor.
[When using a mobile battery]
For iPhones, use a mobile battery without power saving feature, with an output larger than 5V, 1.5A.
For iPads with a Lightning port, use a mobile battery without power saving feature, with an output larger than 5V, 6A.
For iPads with a USB-C port, use a mobile battery without power saving feature, with an output larger than 5V, 3.5A.
