Q1 What else do I need to start DJing?

You'll need the following:
・ Powered speakers
・ Headphones
・ A PC/Mac running Serato DJ Pro

Q2 What kind of PC/Mac do I need to use Serato DJ Pro?

Check supported OS, PC/Mac specs, etc. on the Serato website [serato.com], including supported OS and PC/Mac specifications.

Q3 Can I use this unit without an internet connection?

You'll need an internet connection to download and update Serato DJ Pro, and to add various features to the unit via firmware updates.

Q4 Can I connect the unit with a Hi-Fi system, a home amplifier, or a PC speaker?

Check whether the speaker/device you're planning to use has an external input terminal.
If it has an external input terminal, you can connect it to the unit.

*Bluetooth speakers and headphones can’t be used due to latency (audio delay).
*If you’re using a home theater amplifier, you may experience audio delay due to audio processing in the amplifier.

Q5 Can I use the unit with a CD player or turntable?

Yes.
Connect players with RCA output terminals to input audio to the DDJ-REV7 mixer section.

Q6 How do I install/uninstall the driver software and/or Setting Utility?

If you install/uninstall the audio driver software to your PC (Windows), Setting Utility will also be installed/uninstalled with the driver software.
If you use a Mac, install/uninstall Setting Utility only.
In both cases, be sure to restart your PC/Mac after installation.

Download the latest driver software/Setting Utility from [here].
Be sure to close your DJ application, disconnect the DDJ-REV7 from your PC/Mac, and then install it.
For details, refer to [PC/Mac setup] in the Instruction Manual.

[How to uninstall]
■ Windows
How to uninstall the driver software:
1. Open Control Panel > [Programs and Features].
　(Or open [Settings] > [Apps])
2. Select [DDJ-REV7 Driver] driver software and uninstall it.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

■ Mac
How to uninstall the Setting Utility:
1. Download the latest version of the Setting Utility from [here].
2. Open the downloaded dmg file and double click on [DDJ-REV7 Uninstaller].
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Q7 What is the Serato Pitch 'n Time DJ Expansion Pack Voucher included in the box?

A voucher code for activating Serato Pitch 'n Time DJ is printed on the card. Launch Serato DJ Pro and enter the voucher code to use the Serato Pitch 'n Time DJ free of charge.

Q8 Are Expansion Packs such as Serato DVS and Serato Video supported by the unit?

The following Expansion Packs are supported:

Serato Flip
Serato DVS
Serato Video
Serato Pitch 'n Time DJ

You can use Serato Pitch 'n Time DJ by entering the voucher code supplied with the unit. To use other Expansion Packs, you'll need to buy and activate licenses separately.

Q9 Do I have to buy a Serato DJ Pro license and activate it?

It is not necessary.
Connecting the DDJ-REV7 activates the Serato DJ Pro so that you can use the software when the unit is connected.

To use the Serato DJ Pro even when the DDJ-REV7 is not connected, you may need a separate license.

Q12 Can I connect the unit to a PC/Mac that only has a USB Type-C port?

If you're using a PC/Mac that only has a USB Type-C port, you'll need a USB Type-C (plug) to USB Type-A (socket) conversion cable (sold separately).
When using one of these cables, be sure it's a product recommended by the manufacturer of your PC/Mac.

Q13 Can I connect the unit to a PC/Mac via a USB hub?

You should connect the unit directly to a USB port on the PC/Mac.
Connecting via a USB hub may cause unwanted noise or malfunction.
If you have to use a USB hub due to a limited number of USB ports on your PC/Mac, be sure to use a product recommended by the manufacturer of your PC/Mac.
