- Q1 What else do I need to start DJing with the DDJ-200?

It depends on how you use it.
A. When you don't use the headphones monitor
You'll need the following.
- PC/Mac or smartphone
- (When using a smartphone) USB power adapter or mobile battery (*1)B. When you use the headphones monitor
In addition to A, you'll need the following.
- Headphones (2)
- Output devices such as power speakers and a Hi-Fi system (2)
- Cables (3) compatible with the input terminal of the device
- (For smartphones without headphones output) headphones conversion cable (4)*1 Use a USB power adapter or mobile battery with DC +5 V and 500 mA or more.
Use a mobile battery which does not have a power-saving function.
*2 When this unit is connected via Bluetooth, the sound will be delayed. We recommend to use the supplied split cable for the connection.
*3 For example, if the input terminal of the device is an RCA pin plug (red/white),
you'll need a 3.5 φ stereo mini plug-RCA pin plug cable.
Similarly, if the input terminal of the device is a 3.5 φ stereo mini plug,
you'll need a 3.5 φ stereo mini plug cable.
*4 For an iPhone without a headphones output, you'll need a Lightning - 3.5 mm headphones jack adapter.Net Number : 1 - Q2 What kind of PC/Mac or smartphone do I need to use with the unit?

The supported PC/Mac and smartphone types may change depending on the app/DJ software you use.
Read details on each app [here].To monitor sound with your headphones, the L (left side) and R (right side) audio signals must be accurately separated and outputted from the headphone jack of your PC/Mac or smartphone.
We recommend you check this beforehand by playing the video [here] with your headphones connected.
There's no problem if the channel (left or right side of the headphones) where audio is heard and the speaker moving on the screen are in sync while the video is playing.
If audio is heard from both sides of the headphones regardless of the speaker movement on screen, you can't monitor sound properly. In that case, you'll need to change the settings on your PC/Mac or smartphone in advance.

To monitor through headphones, the following connections and settings are needed.
■ A. Connections
Connect as follows.
1. Connect the supplied split cable to your PC/Mac or smartphone.
2. Connect to the black plug to powered speakers, etc.
3. Connect the white plug to the headphones.
*For smartphones without headphones output, you'll need a headphones conversion cable.■ B. App Settings
[WeDJ for iPhone, WeDJ for Android]
Tap Gear icon > [Audio] on the top of the screen, and turn on [Split Output] in [PRE-CUEING].[djay]
Tap djay icon > Gear icon on the top of the screen, and turn on [Split Output] in [PRE-CUEING].[edjing Mix for iOS]
Tap Gear icon > [Audio settings] > [Pre-cueing] on the top of the screen, and turn on [Activate].[edjing Mix for Android]
Tap Gear icon > [Audio settings] on the top of the screen, and turn on [Activate] in [Split audio output].[rekordbox]
Click the [MONO SPRIT ON/OFF] button (*) on the top of the screen to turn on.

When a smartphone or PC/Mac is connected to speakers or headphones via Bluetooth, the sound is delayed.

Firmware is a program inside the unit.
New features, support for DJ applications and bug fixes etc. will be added to the unit when you update the firmware to the latest version.

If you're using a PC/Mac that only has a USB Type-C port, you'll need a USB Type-C (plug) to USB Type-A (socket) conversion cable (sold separately).

You should connect the unit directly to a USB port on the PC/Mac.
Connecting via a USB hub may cause unwanted noise or malfunction.
