Q1 Can I control Serato DJ Pro FX?

You can't control Serato DJ Pro FX from the DDJ-1000SRT.
Use the BEAT FX or SOUND COLOR FX on the DDJ-1000SRT when you use the effect.
*When the FX is turned on from the Serato DJ Pro screen, it is applied to the sound of the deck.

Q2 Can I change the functions of buttons and knobs to suit my preference?

Yes.
Serato DJ Pro has Remapping feature.
You can use it to change the buttons or knobs that features are assigned to.

Q3 Is Expansion Pack such as Serato DVS and Serato Video supported?

Q4 Can I choose not to output the microphone sound via the BOOTH output?

Yes.

Q5 What is buffer size and how can I adjust it?

The buffer size setting is a detailed setting related to audio transmission.
When you hear sound cuts or delays in operation, you can solve the issue by adjusting the buffer size.
The larger the value of the buffer size, the less likely you’ll hear sound cuts etc. The smaller the value is, the less likely you’ll experience delays in operation.

As an example, when issues such as sound cuts occur, set the buffer size to a large value such as 20 ms.
Play a track and check it no longer cuts.
Next, change to a low value and use the unit.
Repeat these steps until the sound cuts stop and you can’t feel a delay in operation.

You can adjust buffer size in Serato DJ Pro [Setup] > [Audio] > [USB Buffer size].

*The best value to set depends on the system environment.
*You don’t need to adjust buffer size if you’re not experiencing a particular problem.

Q6 Can I turn off the auto standby feature?

Yes.

Q7 Is there a way to prevent the PC/Mac error sound from being heard?

Yes.
You can change the PC/Mac sound setting so you won’t hear the error sound.

■ Windows
Go to [Control Panel] > [Sound] > [Program Events] and turn off all sound settings.

■ Mac
Open System Preferences > [Sound] > [Sound Effects] and change the device to something other than the DDJ-1000SRT.

Q8 When my PC/Mac enters standby mode or sleep mode then returns to normal, is it OK to use the PC/Mac?

After your PC/Mac returns from standby or sleep mode, be sure to reconnect the unit and restart your DJ application before using it.
We don’t guarantee stable operation when your PC/Mac has recovered from standby or sleep mode.

Q9 I want to use the unit with a DJ application other than Serato DJ Pro by assigning MIDI. Where can I find the related information?

The MIDI message list is available [here].

When Serato DJ Pro is running, the unit can be used as a controller suitable for the Serato DJ Pro features.
However, you can change the setting to use the unit as a general MIDI controller regardless of whether Serato DJ Pro is running.
