- Q1 Sometimes the talk over function gets activated and the master sound gets weaker even when not speaking into the mike.

The talk over function may be accidentally activated due to static electricity, etc. When not using it, turn the talk over function off.
Net Number : 6 - Q2 No signals are output from the MASTER outputs, or only from one channel.

The master output attenuator switch (MASTER ATT.) may be out of place. Move it to a different position, then put it back in its proper position.
Net Number : 49 - Q3 When the SEND/RETURN assignment is set to "MIC1+2", external effects are not applied to the mike sound (MIC1 and MIC2) from the ZONE output.

When the SEND/RETURN assignment is set to "MIC1+2", external effects are only applied to the mike sound output to the MASTER channel.
Because external effects can only be applied to one of the mikes (MIC1 or MIC2) for the ZONE output, set the SEND/RETURN assignment to either "MIC1" or "MIC2".Net Number : 51 - Q4 The sound skips when the DJM-5000 is used as an audio device.

There are four possible causes.
1. Sound skipping can be decreased by adjusting the buffer size.
-Windows
When using ASIO, make the adjustment in the DJM-5000 utility tool.
When using Direct Sound, make the adjustment from the DJ software.
-Mac OS
Make the adjustment from the DJ application.2. When using a notebook computer, the computer's performance may be intentionally reduced through the power-saving functions. Use the computer not on the battery but with the AC adapter and cancel all power-saving settings. Also cancel the screensaver function.
3. The sound may also skip if the CPU usage rate is high. Other applications being used simultaneously (including resident programs) could also affect performance. Check the recommended usage environment for your application.
4. On Windows Vista and Windows 7, if the Windows Aero setting is enabled, disable the setting.
Net Number : 52 - Q5 The sound played on the computer is not produced.

The driver software must be installed before outputting sound from the computer to the DJM-5000.
Install the driver software using the included driver installation disc. Once installation is completed, restart the computer.After connecting the computer and DJM-5000 by USB cable, set the application's sound device to "DJM-5000".
For instructions on making settings, etc., refer to your application's operating instructions.Set the DJM-5000's audio channel input selector switch to the "USB /" position.
Net Number : 57 - Q6 The DJM-5000 cannot be specified in the DJ application.

The driver software must be installed before outputting sound from the computer to the DJM-5000.
Install the driver software using the included driver installation disc. Once installation is completed, restart the computer.Check the driver software's version (page 11 of the operating instructions). If the version window is not properly displayed or the version itself is not properly displayed, installation has not completed properly. Reinstall the driver software on the computer.
The DJM-5000 may not be properly recognized. Close the DJ application and disconnect the USB cable, then start the DJ application back up.
Net Number : 58 - Q7 MIDI control is not possible.

The driver software must be installed before using the DJM-5000 with a MIDI controller.
Install the driver software using the included driver installation disc. Once installation is completed, restart the computer.The DJM-5000's MIDI message must be assigned on the application after connecting the computer and DJM-5000 by USB cable. For instructions on assigning, refer to your application's operating instructions.
Turn on the DJM-5000's MIDI switch.
Net Number : 59 - Q8 I installed the DJM-5000 Mac OS driver version 1.2.0 on a computer with Mac OS X10.5, but I cannot check the version using the procedure described in the operating instructions. (The DJM-5000 does not appear at Apple menu > About This Mac > More Info... > Software > Extensions.)

When using Mac OS X10.5, the DJM-5000 is not displayed in the extensions.
Use the following procedure to check the version after installation:
In Finder, select the Macintosh HD device > System > Library > Extensions > DJM-5000 USBAudio.kext. The version is displayed in the preview.Net Number : 62
