1. Are the [MASTER LEVEL] and [TRIM] controls set to the proper positions? Adjust the [MASTER LEVEL] and [TRIM] controls, watching the level meter.
2. Is the audio level being input to the input terminals properly set? Set the audio level input to the respective terminals according to the connected device.Net Number : 3 - Q3 When Serato DJ is connected, the characters in the track information for MP3 files, AAC files, etc., are not displayed properly.

This unit's track information may not be in a language supported by Serato DJ. Check the range of languages supported by Serato DJ in the operating instructions.
Files in MP3 and ACC format support ID3 tags in which track information is embedded, so the artist name, album name, etc., can be read out from the file and displayed. Files in WAV and AIFF format, however, do not support ID3 tags, so the artist name, album name, etc., cannot be read out from them. To display their track information, the track information must first be edited at the "Edit" item. Note that with the Import from iTunes function, the file information in the iTunes library is consulted, so the track information is displayed even for files in WAV and AIFF format.
Net Number : 7 - Q4 When I change the tempo with the key lock turned on, the sound seems distorted. Is this a malfunction?

When the key lock is turned on, key control processing is performed to keep the key constant, so the sound quality changes. This change in sound quality is normal considering the product's specifications; it is not a malfunction.
Net Number : 8 - Q5 DDJ-SR2 is not recognized by the computer.

Check the following items.
1. Is the driver software installed?
For the installation procedure, check Operating Instructions.2. Is your computer recognizing the DDJ-SR2?
For Windows 10 or 8.1:
Click [Apps View] > [Pioneer] > [DDJ-SR2] > [DDJ-SR2 Setting Utility].For Windows 7:
Click the [Start] menu > [All Programs] > [Pioneer] > [DDJ-SR2] > [DDJ-SR2 Setting Utility].For macOS or OS X:
1. Open the [Applications] folder in Finder.
2. Click [Pioneer] > [DDJ-SR2] > [DDJ-SR2 Setting Utility].
The unit has been recognized if the firmware version is displayed in the About tab.3. Is the USB cable connected properly?
Connect the computer and DDJ-SR using the included USB cable.4. Are you using a USB hub?
A USB hub cannot be used. Be sure to connect this unit to a USB port on the computer that can supply power.5. Are other applications running?
Exit all other applications including the screen saver and resident software.
(When exiting antivirus and other security software, before doing so, be sure to disconnect the Internet connection to ensure the security of your computer.)6. Are USB devices other than the DDJ-SR2 connected?
Remove external hard disks and the keyboard (for some models), etc. to check the status with only the built-in hard disk.7. If your computer has more than one USB port, check using a different USB port.
Net Number : 25 - Q6 The crossfader's response is bad.

The crossfader cut lag can be adjusted to any of 53 levels in the utilities mode of the unit.

Is a device with a high output level such as a wireless microphone connected?
If there is an output level selector switch or gain adjustment on the wireless microphone or similar device, adjust the level of the signal to be input to this unit's microphone jack so that it becomes low.
For details, see the operating instructions of the connected device you are using.This unit has a microphone input level switching function. Correctly configure the switching setting in the utilities mode.
Net Number : 40 - Q8 It takes much time for the controller to be recognized by Serato DJ after the application is launched.

When multiple ASIO drivers are installed into a computer, it may take time for the controller to be recognized by Serato DJ.
Please uninstall unnecessary ASIO drivers.
Please ask the manufacturers of ASIO drivers for details of how to uninstall them.ASIO driver: A type of driver software which controls sound input and output between a computer and a soundcard (audio interface).
Net Number : 49 - Q9 Tracks in iTunes are shown, but they cannot be played.

QuickTime of Apple is needed to play the music files in AAC format.
Please install QuickTime into your computer.
After installing QuickTime, launch Serato DJ and untick "Show iTunes Library" in Library + Display on SETUP window in Serato DJ.
Then, tick it again to start using these files.
Please ensure iTunes is updated to the latest version.Also, please see the FAQ in the Serato website from the following link:

Please install QuickTime into your computer.After installing QuickTime, launch Serato DJ and untick "Show iTunes Library" in Library + Display on SETUP window on Serato DJ.

Net Number : 53 - Q12 When I connect the unit to my computer (Windows), a message saying [Installing device driver software] appears. What should I do?

When the unit is connected to your computer (Windows) for the first time or when it is connected to a different USB port on your computer, the [Installing device driver software] message may appear on the computer screen. Wait until the "Your devices are ready to use." message appears.
-In the middle of installation, the [Can Windows connect to Windows Update to search for software?] message may appear. In that case, select [No, not this time] and then click [Next] to continue installation.
-In the middle of installation, the [What do you want the wizard to do?] message may appear. In that case, select [Install the software automatically (Recommended)] and then click [Next] to continue installation.
-In the middle of installation, the [Windows Security] screen may appear. In that case, click [Install this driver software anyway] to continue installation.Net Number : 59 - Q13 Even if the DDJ-SR2 and the computer are connected using a USB after installing the driver software, it is not recognized.

For Windows
Check that "DDJ-SR2" is displayed in the "Sound, video and game controllers" item in Device Manager.
If "?" or "!" is displayed, try the following procedure.1. Right-click the item where "?" or "!" is displayed, and then click [Uninstall].
2. The uninstall confirmation dialog box appears. Click OK to perform the uninstallation.
If "DDJ-SR2" is displayed in the "Sound, video and game controllers" item as well, also uninstall it using the same procedure.3. Disconnect this unit from the USB port of the PC.
Do not connect the unit via USB until the driver software is reinstalled.4. Uninstall the driver software and restart the PC.
5. Reinstall the driver software and then connect the unit.
For Mac
The driver software may not have been installed properly.
Disconnect the USB cable and uninstall the driver software.
The computer is restarted. Once it has been restarted, install the driver software again.Net Number : 60 - Q14 When a backspin is performed, the playback position of the track advances in the direction of rotation for a while even after rotation of the jog dial is stopped.

When the [Backspin Length] setting in utilities mode of the unit is set to [Short] or [Long], the behavior may be as if the jog dial continues to be rotated due to software processing even after it has stopped being rotated. To match the playback position to the actual rotation state of the jog dial, set the [Backspin Length] setting to [Normal].

That is in accordance with the specifications of Serato DJ application. When you wish to use DVS, set the SELECT switch to DECK 1/2.

Adjust the MIC LEVEL control of the unit.
If the problem is still not resolved, change the [Microphone maximum allowable input level setting] in the utilities mode of the unit.
For details on the utilities mode, check Operating Instructions.Net Number : 63 - Q17 When the USB cable is disconnected and then connected while Serato DJ is running, Serato DJ becomes unable to be controlled.

Check the following items.
1. Is the driver software installed? Dedicated driver software needs to be installed to use this unit. For details on the installation procedure, check the operating instructions.2. Is your computer recognizing the DDJ-SR2?

[Windows]
(1) Connect DDJ-SR2 to your computer and turn it power on. Go [Control Panel] - [Hardware and Sound] and click [Sound]
(2) If PIONEER DDJ-SR2 has been "Default Device", go to (3).
(3) Choose other sound device rather than PIONEER DDJ-SR2 and click "Set as Default Device". Close the window by clicking "OK".
(4) Close the control panel and restart your computer, then run Serato DJ Application.
[Mac]
(1) Connect DDJ-SR2 to your computer and turn it power on.
(2) Open [Applications] folder, [Utilities] folder and [Audio MIDI Setup.app].
(3) Open [Audio Device] window. Confirm that [Audio MIDI Setup] windows pops up. Click [Window] and choose [Show MIDI Studio].
(4) When [MIDI Studio] window opens up, disconnect DDJ-SR2 from Mac and click [DDJ-SR2] icon. The icon turns to blue color, click [Remove Device].
After "DDJ-SR2" icon disappears, connect DDJ-SR2 to Mac. Then "DDJ-SR2" icon comes back again.
(5) Close [Audio MIDI Setup] and run Serato DJ Application.
