Q3 Can my DJ performances be recorded?: A3

Yes.
But, the sound input from the Mic input terminal of this unit can not be recorded.
Operate rekordbox as described below.
1. Click the [REC] icon at the top left of the screen to open the recording panel of rekordbox.
2. Click the [REC] button in the recording panel to start recording.
To end recording, click the [REC] button again.
When recording completes, a file is saved automatically.

Q4 How should I adjust the buffer size?: A4

By lowering the buffer size setting, the latency (the period from when the DDJ-400 is operated until the sound is output) can be shortened. If there are interruptions in the sound, increase the buffer size, but note that this makes the latency longer. Set the buffer size to the minimum value at which no interruptions in the sound occur.

The buffer size can be adjusted in [Preferences] of rekordbox.

Q6 Can I turn off Vinyl mode?: A6

From the DDJ-400, you cannot turn on/off Vinyl mode. Use rekordbox dj keyboard shortcut feature to turn on/off Vinyl mode.

No. rekordbox dj FX cannot be applied to the sound coming from the DDJ-400 MIC input terminal.

Yes. Open rekordbox [Preferences] > [Controller] > [Mixer] > [Level Meter] and tick [Master Level] to use it as the master level meter.

Q11 I changed the key of the track that's being played using the key shift function. How can I get back to the original key?: A11

Make sure that the Performance pads area on rekordbox dj screen is [KEY SHIFT] mode. Scroll the page and click the pad where [0] or [KEY RESET] is displayed to get back to the original key. (You can change Performance pads area on rekordbox dj screen to [KEY SHIFT] mode by pressing the [SHIFT] and [SAMPLER] buttons of the DDJ-400. You can also change each pad functions of rekordbox dj when pad 7 or pad 8 is pressed while pressing the [SHIFT] button during [KEY SHIFT] mode.)
