- Q1 When making LAN connections, what sort of LAN hub should I use?

Use a commercially available 100BASE-TX-compatible switching hub. Depending on the switching hub, the unit may not operate properly.

LAN terminal specifications conform to 100BASE-TX standards.
Use a commercially available category 5 class LAN cable or better. Depending on the LAN cable, the unit may not operate properly.Also, when connecting with a Pioneer DJ player, we recommend using the LAN cable included with the Pioneer DJ player. Note that this unit's LAN terminal has a Pioneer-specific interface, so LAN connections to other brands of DJ players are not possible.

This unit can convert the tempo information (BPM) into MIDI timing clocks and send this to the EFX-1000. Also, the EFX-1000 is equipped with a mode for applying effects in sync with the MIDI timing clocks input from external devices. By using these functions together, effects applied with the EFX-1000 can be operated with the tempo displayed on this unit's BPM counter.

The audio for the position selected with the effect channel selector switch in the BEAT EFFECT section (pre-channel fader audio, microphone audio, post-crossfader A or B audio, or master audio) is output to the external device through the SEND terminal. After this, the sound processed on the external device returns to the selected position through the RETURN terminal. The meanings of the selector switch positions are described below. For details, see "Block Diagram" in the operating instructions.

The fader start function can be used when this unit is connected to a CDJ by PRO DJ LINK. Use this unit in combination with a CDJ-2000nexus, CJD-2000 or CDJ-900 supporting the PRO DJ LINK function. To use the PRO DJ LINK function, update the CDJ’s firmware to the latest version. The latest firmware is available on the Pioneer support page.
This unit does not support connection with a control cord.Net Number : 8 - Q8 Can the digital sound of a DVD player be input?

Either EFX can be connected, but the EFX-1000 offers higher sound quality and more functions. This unit does not support EFX LINK, so connect it to the EFX-1000 using a cord with a phone plug (ø6.3 mm).

This unit measures 331 mm in width, while the DJM-800 measures 320 mm.
You may be able to use DJM-800's flight case by rearranging its inner cushion.
However, please note that use of the DJM-800's flight case is not guaranteed by Pioneer DJ.Net Number : 13 - Q13 I would like to connect DJ software to this unit. Is there a specific order for connecting the USB cable and launching the DJ software? Can either be done first?

Use a turntable (analog player) that can play analog records or a CDJ player that can play music CDs (CD-DA format). In both cases, check that the player is equipped with audio output terminals.

This unit is equipped with two sets of MASTER outputs (audio outputs).
The sound can be output to speakers via an external amplifier by connecting these audio outputs to the external inputs of a regular amplifier, mini-component or powered speakers. To scratch using a control CD or control vinyl with Serato DJ, you will need to prepare a player for playing the control CD or control vinyl, a computer on which Serato DJ is installed, as well as powered speakers (or an amplifier and speakers) for outputting the sound and headphones. Also, by adding a DDJ-SP1 DJ controller, you can achieve dynamic, individualistic DJ performances.
