- Q1 When I connect an external FX unit to the MULTI I/O section, I can't hear echo tail even if I apply echo and lower the fader.

To hear echo tail, select [INSERT] with the [MODE] selector button in the MULTI I/O section and select [MASTER] with the [CH SELECT] switch.
You can't hear echo tail when using other settings.Net Number : 42 - Q2 An external FX unit I've connected to the MULTI I/O section won't work.

The operation varies depending on the [MODE] set for the MULTI I/O section.
Check the [MODE] selector indicator in the MULTI I/O section.■ When [INSERT] is selected
1. Make sure the [ON/OFF] button in the MULTI I/O section is blinking.
2. Check the [CH SELECT] switch to see if the channel you want to apply the effect to is selected.
3. Check if the [LEVEL] knob is in the proper position.■ When [CH 2/CH 5] is selected
1. Make sure the [ON/OFF] button in the MULTI I/O section is blinking.
2. Check the [CH SELECT] switches to see if the channel you want to apply the effect to is selected.
3. Check if the [LEVEL] knob is in the proper position.
4. For the channel with its channel select switch set to [MULTI I/O] (CH2 or CH5), turn the [TRIM] knob and slide the channel fader away from you.Net Number : 43 - Q3 BEAT FX doesn't work.

Check the settings as follows:
1. Check the [BEAT FX ASSIGN] button in the BEAT FX section to see if the channel you wish to apply the effect to is selected.
2. Make sure one of the [FX FREQUENCY] buttons is lit (LOW, MID, or HI).
3. Ensure the [LEVEL DEPTH] knob is in the proper position.Net Number : 44 - Q4 The [SEND] knob doesn't work when I lower the fader of the channel I want to add the effect to.

This is a part of the unit's specifications and not a malfunction.
To have echo tail when echo or other FX are applied, the sound can't be output even if the [SEND] knob is turned when the fader is set to the bottom. That's why the [SEND] knob doesn't work.Net Number : 45 - Q5 FX in the SEND section won't work.

Follow the steps below.
1. Check the [BUILT-IN], [EXT 1], and [EXT 2] buttons are blinking.
2. Make sure the [SEND] knob of the channel you want to apply the effect to is in the appropriate position.
3. Make sure the fader of the channel you want to apply the effect to is not in the bottom position.
4. Check the [SIZE/FEEDBACK], [TIME], and [TONE] knobs are in the appropriate positions.Follow either of the steps below (choose a procedure depending on what you want to do).
■ To mix the FX sounds into the MASTER output
5. Check the [MASTER MIX] button is lit.
6. Check the [MASTER MIX LEVEL] knob is in the proper position.
If [MASTER MIX] is turned on, sounds connected to the RETURN of [EXT 1] and [EXT 2] will also be mixed, even if [BUILT-IN] is selected.■ To input the FX sound to another channel
5. Check whether the input setting of the channel you want to input the FX sound to is set to [BUILT-IN], [EXT 1], or [EXT 2].
6. Check the fader of the channel the FX sound is input to is not at the bottom.
7. Check the [MASTER MIX] button isn't lit.Net Number : 46 - Q6 When I set the input selector switch to [BUILT-IN], [EXT 1], or [EXT 2], the effect sound remains, even if the fader of that channel is at the bottom.

The factors that can cause this vary depending on how you use the unit.
■ When you connect the unit with audio cables only
When the audio input level is too high or too low, the BPM value may not be measured. As a guide, adjust the [TRIM] knob so the channel level indicator lights up with the peak level at around [0] dB.
Depending on the track, the BPM value may not be measured correctly. In this case, use the [TAP] button to manually enter the BPM value.■ When you connect the unit to the PRO DJ LINK network (via LAN cables)
When you connect the unit to the PRO DJ LINK network, the BPM of the DJ player is displayed on the DJM-V10. In this case, the [PLAYER No.] of the DJ player and the connected channel number must match.
If you can't change the PLAYER No. during playback or the BPM isn't displayed on the DJ player, manually enter it with the [TAP] button on the DJM-V10.For details, see the PRO DJ LINK Setup Guide.

The values may differ slightly due to different methods used for measuring the BPM. This is not a malfunction.
Net Number : 49 - Q9 I can't connect my PC/Mac to the unit in the PRO DJ LINK network.

It may take 30 seconds to 1 minute for the connection to complete. If the connection can't be made even after 1 minute, follow the procedures below.
■ When rekordbox is in Performance mode
PRO DJ LINK features such as Link Export can only be used when rekordbox is in Export mode.
Click [PERFORMANCE] in the upper left corner of the rekordbox screen to switch to [EXPORT].■ When your PC/Mac is connected to other networks at the same time
You may not be able to connect your PC/Mac properly if the PC/Mac is connected to a Wi-Fi network and to the unit via LAN at the same time.
Disconnect the other networks and try again.■ When the network is blocked by the PC/Mac's security function
The required communication may be blocked by the firewall of the OS or security software.
Disable the firewall and try again.See details on the Windows firewall [here].
Net Number : 50 - Q10 I can't use LINK MONITOR.

To use LINK MONITOR, enable it in rekordbox Preferences.

To use the Quantize feature in the PRO DJ LINK network, you'll need grid information of the track from the DJ player.
In this case, the [PLAYER No.] of the DJ player and the connected channel number must match.For details, see the PRO DJ LINK Setup Guide.

■ If the USB/MIDI indicator is blinking
The dedicated driver software is not installed on the PC/Mac. To input/output audio to/from the PC/Mac, download the driver software from [here] and install it.

■ If the MULTI I/O indicator is blinking
This means an unsupported mobile device is connected to the unit.

DELAY, ECHO, PING PONG, SPIRAL, REVERB, and SHIMMERFor example, if you apply an effect to the channel 1 sound, the effect won't be applied even if you monitor the channel 1 sound with your headphones.
You can check the sound of BEAT FX by monitoring the MASTER.
You can also check the sound of SEND effects by monitoring the channel receiving the post-effect sound (the channel where [BUILT-IN], [EXT1], or [EXT2] is selected with the input selector switch).Net Number : 55 - Q15 The unit's built-in FX aren't applied to the MULITI I/O section.

In the following cases, the [ON/OFF] button in the MULTI I/O section is turned off:
・ When no external FX unit is connected.
・ When the [MODE] selector indicator is set to [CH 2/CH 5] and the [CH SELECT] switch is set to [MASTER].
・ When the [MODE] selector indicator is set to [CH2/CH5], while the [CH SELECT] switch is set to a channel that's set to [MULTI I/O] with the channel section input selector switch (CH2 or CH5).
・ Other situations where a feedback loop may occur depending on the combination of [CH SELECT] switch and the channel section input selector switch settings.Net Number : 57 - Q17 ON AIR DISPLAY doesn’t work on a DJ player that is connected to the unit via PRO DJ LINK.
