Click the Windows [Start] menu>[All Programs]>[Pioneer]>[DDJ]>[Pioneer DDJ Version Display Utility].

Serato DJ Intro : Not required to setup anything.
TRAKTOR PRO 2 : Please see the Set Up Guide.

Virtual DJ on Windows
1. Click [CONFIG] on upper-right on the display. [Settings] will be displayed. Please set up followings on the [Sound Setup] tabs.
1) [Inputs] : Choose [MICROPHONE]
2) [Sound card] : Choose [Pioneer DDJ ASIO] and check [Ultra-latency ASIO]
3) [Outputs] : Choose [Master : Chan 1&2 Headphones : 3&4]
2. Click [Apply] and [OK]Virtual DJ on Mac OS
1. Click [CONFIG] on upper-right on the display. [Settings] will be displayed. Please set up followings on the [Sound Setup] tabs.
1) [Inputs] : Choose [MICROPHONE]
2) [Sound card] : Choose [4-IN/4-OUTCARD] and [PIONEER DDJ-ERGO]
3) [Outputs] : Choose [Master : Chan 1&2 Headphones : 3&4]

Power on sequence of DDJ-ERGO and DJ Software.
Please follow the Power on sequence to operate DDJ-ERGO and DJ Software properly. You may encounter audio loss on output terminal or you may not be able to control DJ Software.
1. Power on DDJ-ERGO first.
2. Confirm power on sequence of DDJ-ERGO.
- Initial power sequence illumination completed.
- [DECK A], [DECK B] buttons and JOG LED turns to red.
3. Run DJ Software on your computer.Net Number : 139 - Q5 Is a USB cable properly connected?

Connect DDJ-ERGO and you computer by a USB cable bundled with DDJ-ERGO.
Net Number : 140 - Q6 Are you using a USB hub?

A USB hub is not supported. Please use the USB terminal on your computer.
Net Number : 141 - Q7 Is a knob or a slider for audio volume control properly set up?

See whether a knob or a slider is set up properly.
Master output : Followings circled in red, [GAIN], [EQ(HI/MID/LOW)], CHANNEL FADER, CROSS FADER and [MASTER VOL], set them up properly.
Headphones output : In addition to Master output setting, set up following circled in blue. Headphones QUE button, [HEADPHONES MIX] and[HEADPHONES VOL].See the Operating Instructions for detail.
[GAIN]knob : Adjusts the sound level input to the various decks.
[EQ(HI/MID/LOW)]Knob : These adjust the sound quality input to the various decks.
Channel fader : Adjusts the sound level output from the various decks.
Cross fader : Switches the sound of the decks assigned to the left and right sides of the crossfader for output.
[MASTER VOL]Knob : Adjusts the sound level output from the master.
Headphones cue button : Use this to monitor the sound of the respective decks over the headphones.
[HEADPHONS MIX]Knob : Adjusts the balance of the monitor volume between the sound of the deck
whose Headphones cue button is pressed and the master sound.
[HEADPHONS VOL]Knob : Adjusts the audio level output from the [PHONES] terminal.
Net Number : 142 - Q8 If you are using an external amplifier, is a set up done properly?

Check if input selector is set properly or volume level is optimal.

Shut down all software running on your computer including anti-virus software. For your computer's security, disconnect your computer from the network when you shut down the anti-virus software.
Net Number : 144 - Q10 Is there other USB devices connected to you computer rather than DDJ-ERGO?

Disconnect all USB devices except DDJ-ERGO.

Try on the other USB terminal on your computer.

Windows computer sound settings
1. Connect DDJ-ERGO to your computer and turn it power on.
Go [ControlPanel] - [Hardware and Sound] and click [Sound]
2. If PIONEER DDJ-ERGO has been "Default Device", go to 3.
3. Choose other sound device rather than PIONEER DDJ-ERGO and click "Set as Default Device".
Close the window by clicking "OK".
4. Close the control panel and resart your computer.
Mac Audio MIDI setting reload
1. Connect DDJ-ERGO to your computer and turn it power on.
2. Open [Applications] folder, [Utilities] folder and [Audio MIDI Setup.app].
3. Open [Audio Device] window. Confirm that [Audio MIDI Setup] windows pops up.
Click [Window] and choose [Show MIDI Window].
4. [MIDI Studi] window opens up, click [PIONEER DDJ-ERGO] icon.
The icon turns to blue color, click [Remove Device].
"PIONEER DDJ-ERGO" icon dissapers and comes back again.
5. Close [Audio MIDI Setup] and turn DDJ-ERGO power off.
6. Turn DDJ-ERGO power on and run DJ Application.Net Number : 147
