The SVM-1000 can output sound up to +19dBV without distortion.
It is possible to exceed the maximum allowable input for a power amp, so turn down the MASTER ATT on the rear panel to an appropriate level. You can achieve about 2/3 the level at –3dB or about ½ at –6dB.
These settings are not linked to the Master Level Meter.

If a digital copy protection signal is detected, the digital copy protection signal is output, even if no sound is output to that channel.
When the digital copy protection signal is output, it stops the recording on the digital recording device.

The digital OUT outputs under the category of a digital mixer.
Some recorders can only operate on the assumption that the device that is outputting the digital output is a player, so in that case the polarity of the copy protection signal is reversed, so there are times that it cannot make a recording.

In order to prevent a ground loop, the control cable does not have a GROUND; also, the Digital OUT of the CDJ-1000MK2 is floating, so the ground is not connected. In this situation, connect another analog cable.

In order to use the FADER START function you have to connect both a control cable and an audio cable.

The Talk Over may malfunction due to static electricity or other causes. When you are not using the Talk Over function, turn the mike off and back on.

When the Effect Mode is on DELAY or ECHO or the like, the delay sound may be heard.

The unit’s specification calls for it not to change.

Press the + mark as much as you need to in order to get it to line up straight.

Was the FADER AV SYNC button lit up?
(When it is not lit, it is in the AV decoupled Mode, so the CHANNEL FADER only works with the audio.) When the VIDEO SOLO MODE is ON and you operate the CHANNEL FADER, the video images will not switch over.

Has THRU been selected with the CROSS FADER ASSIGN switch? When the CROSS FADER ASSIGN switch is on THRU, the signal is output at the master without passing through the CROSS FADER.

Is the VIDEO SOLO MODE turned ON (the VIDEO SOLO MODE indicator flashing)? When the VIDEO SOLO MODE is ON, even if you operate the CROSS FADER, it does not switch the A/B channels.

Is the FADER AV SYNC set to OFF (the FADER AV SYNC button indicator not lit)? When the FADER AV SYNC is turned OFF, the video CROSS FADER on the touch panel is enabled for switching the video.

When you wish to switch channels with the CROSS FADER (not with the touch panel), turn the FADER AV SYNC to ON (indicator lit).

Is the indicator of the VIDEO SOLO MODE button flashing? When the VIDEO SOLO MODE is ON, even if you press the Transformer button, it cannot switch the channels A/B.

The video CROSS FADER and the Transformer button have a higher priority than the CROSS FADER, so they are processed.

When the VIDEO SOLO MODE is ON, even if you operate the CROSS FADER, the video image will not switch over.

The unit’s specification calls for it not to change.

The curve characteristics of the FADE effect of the video mix effects can be changed with the CROSS FADER CURVE switch, but the curve characteristics of all the other video mix effects are fixed.

Is a JPEG selected? In the MANUAL MODE one JPEG can be selected; in other Modes, a maximum of 8 JPEGs can be selected.

Is the channel to be assigned selected? You can select the corresponding channel by pressing the arrow button at the bottom of the screen. Only one channel can be selected.
Is it in the visualizer? If the selected channel is selected as the visualizer, it cannot display a JPEG on the channel monitor.

The JPEG BOX cannot be selected on the JPEG Select Mode screen. Return to the JPEG Play Mode screen and make your selections.

Have you selected a JPEG? The outline of a selected JPEG changes from blue to white. In the AUTO MODE, a maximum of 8 JPEGs can be selected.

Did you make a large setting for the TIME parameter? If you selected the largest, which is 3,2000 ms (32 seconds), it would take 32 seconds to switch to the next image.

Have you selected a JPEG? The outline of a selected JPEG changes from blue to white. In the FADER MODE, a maximum of 8 JPEGs can be selected.
When you are in the FADER MODE, it switches to the next image when the CHANNEL FADER on the channel that you selected with the CH SELECT button is lowered all the way to the bottom.

If you delete a JPEG while in the JPEG BOX Clear Mode, the selection status for the location where the JPEG was deleted is cancelled for all Modes.

When you are in the FADER MODE, basically, when the video level display of the channel monitor went off, it switches the JPEG.
If you touch the channel monitor for a channel selected with the CH SELECT button, once the image level reaches 0, it switches the JPEG.

Please check whether your USB or SD is loaded correctly.

The JPEG BOX Clear Mode is automatically cancelled when any button other than JPEG BOX is pressed. Also, it is cancelled when you leave the JPEG Select Mode screen.

Selections cannot be made from the JPEG Select Mode screen. Return to the JPEG Play Mode screen and make your selections.

JPEG files are displayed as an X in the following circumstances.
If the thumbnail image in the JPEG file is corrupted
If the thumbnail image in the JPEG file is in a format that is not supported*
If the JPEG file image is damaged
If the JPEG file image is in a format that is not supported

The image’s vertical or horizontal dimensions are 5,000 pixels or less

This occurs if the thumbnail image included in the JPEG file you selected was actually for a different JPEG image.
Sometimes it happens that the orientation of the thumbnail image and the actual image inside a JPEG file are different, so the orientation of the thumbnail display and the image displayed in the JPEG BOX are also different.
Alternatively, when more than one thumbnail image is incorporated in a JPEG, the first thumbnail that is found is displayed.

When a JPEG is assigned to JPEG BOX from a memory, the channel cannot be specified.

USB MIDI is not compatible with Windows2000 or Mac OS 9. Either connect to a computer running Windows XP or Mac OS X or later or get a different MIDI interface and use a DIN MIDI to connect to your computer.

The specification calls for the ON code to be output when the TAP key or the TRANSIT button is pressed down and OFF to be output when they are released. However, when the MIDI setting for BUTTON TYPE is on TRIGGER, even when you release a key, OFF is not output.

The product specification is such that when the MIDI setting for BUTTON TYPE is on TRIGGER, even when you release a key, OFF is not output.

1. Start Button ⇒ My Computer, Display Properties ⇒ Hardware Tab ⇒ Device Manager ⇒ Double click “Sound, Video and Game Controllers” ⇒ Double click USB Audio Devices. (If no USB audio devices are shown, it may not be connected properly.)
2. Check and make sure that the SVM-1000 is displayed in “Location” on the General tab. (If the SVM-1000 is not shown, another device may be connected, so do a search for the other USB audio device. If there is not one, the SVM-1000 may not be connected properly.)
3. Under “Device Status” check and make sure that it says “This device is working properly.” (If it is not working properly, there may be a conflict with another device that is connected or an internal device.)

Supported OS：1. Double click “Audio MIDI Settings” in Applications / Utilities; then click the MIDI device.

2. Check and make sure SOUND VISION MIXER / SMV-1000 is displayed. (If the SVM-1000 is not shown, another device may be connected, so do a search for the other USB audio device.) If there is not one, the SVM-1000 may not be connected properly

3. Double click the display of SOUND VISION MIXER / SVM-1000. Check and make sure there is a check in the box indicating the device is on-line. (If there is not a check, it may not be connected properly.)

Is there enough free memory on the SD card?
Is the SD card write protected?
Check and see if the SD card is working properly.

Is there text bank data on the SD card? Check the SD card’s data.

When the Effect Mode Switch button (A/AV/V) is set to (V), effects cannot be applied to the audio.

When the Effect Mode Switch button (A/AV/V) is set to (A), effects cannot be applied to the video (Effects can be applied on the effect monitor, but the effect is not applied on the master monitor.)

Check and make sure the Effect Mode Switch button (A/AV/V) has been set correctly.
Check and make sure the LEVEL DEPTH is not on MIN and that the EFFECT ON/OFF switch is ON (lit).
In the case of Touch Effect, the effect may not be applied if you do not touch the video effect performance monitor.

Try adjusting the LEVEL / DEPTH knob. The effect of the VIDEO FX PATTERN changes depending on the LEVEL/ DEPTH.

The minimum value is determined, depending on the effect.

Because ECHO and REVERB are post-effect, when you lower the CHANNEL FADER, the input to the effect part goes to nothing, so a black screen is shown on the video effect monitor.

The VIDEO FX PATTERN display on the LCD screen is marked with 10 levels. Also, it shows what kind of parameters there are for the effects.

When the Visualizer is ON or when effects are ON, the video image on the channel selected for an effect will switch to the video image created internally.

When the Effect Channel is on MST, the visualizer functions works such that the delayed visualizer images are fed back to each of the 4 channels, thus producing a visualizer picture with an even stronger feel of feedback. For that reason, the delayed visualizer picture is displayed on each channel. Similarly, because the delayed picture is output to each channel, it changes the feedback effect depending on the state of the CHANNEL FADER.

It will work if you touch the video effect performance monitor.

Have you made the correct selection with the VIDEO INPUT selection switch, channels 1~4?

Check and make sure the VIDEO TRIM adjustment knob is not turned all the way to MIN or to MAX. If it is, adjust the VIDEO TRIM knob.

Check and make sure the level of the CHANNEL FADER is not set on zero. If it is, adjust the level of the CHANNEL FADER.

When the VIDEO SOLO MODE button is not lit, check and make sure that if the CROSS FADER ASSIGN switch has A selected that the CROSS FADER is not on the B side, or if the CROSS FADER ASSIGN switch has B selected, that the CROSS FADER is not on the A side.
If it is, then adjust the CROSS FADER.

When the VIDEO SOLO MODE button is blinking, check that the channel monitor has been selected. Touch the channel monitor you wish to display.

If a video image is being displayed on the effect monitor, but the video image is not being displayed on the master monitor, check and make sure that the VIDEO MASTER LEVEL adjustment knob is not turned all the way to MIN or MAX. If it is, then adjust the VIDEO MASTER LEVEL knob.

When it is on the PAL setting, the PAL spec does not permit the COLOR to be changed.

Is the VIDEO TRIM in the center?
Are the positions for CROSS FADER ASSIGN and CROSS FADER correct on each channel?

The spec calls for a video image to be output on one of them. If you wish to get rid of all of them, turn the VIDEO MASTER TRIM all the way down.

Are the AUDIO INPUT switches on channels 1~4 in the right position?

Check and make sure the AUDIO TRIM adjustment knob is not in position 8. If it is, adjust the AUDIO TRIM knob.

Check and make sure the Headphone LEVEL adjustment knob (LEVEL) is not on 8. If it is, adjust it with the Headphone LEVEL knob.

Is the HEADPHONE CUE button/indicator (CUE) lit? Press the HEADPHONE CUE button.

Check and make sure the CHANNEL FADER Level does not become zero when you try to put the Master or the EFFECT sound on the monitor. If it does, adjust the CHANNEL FADER Level.

When the Headphone Output Switch (MONO SPLIT/ STEREO) is set to MONO SPLIT, and the Headphone MIXING knob (MIXING) is turned all the way to the MASTER side,
check and make sure the Audio Master OUT Level adjustment knob (AUDIO MASTER LEVEL) is not on 8. If it is, adjust the Audio Master Output Level knob.

When STEREO is selected with the Headphone Output switch (MONO SPLIT / STEREO),
check and make sure that when the Headphone Mixing knob (MIXING) is all the way on the MASTER side that the Master Balance knob (BALANCE) is not all the way on the R side. If it is, adjust the Master Balance knob.

When MONO SPLIT is selected with the Headphone Output switch (MONO SPLIT / STEREO),
check and make sure the Headphone Mixing knob (MIXING) is not turned all the way to the MASTER side. If it is, adjust the Headphone Mixing knob.

When STEREO is selected with the Headphone Output switch (MONO SPLIT / STEREO),
check and make sure that when the Headphone Mixing knob (MIXING) is all the way on the MASTER side that the Master Balance knob (BALANCE) is not all the way on the L side. If it is, adjust the Master Balance knob.

When MONO SPLIT is selected with the Headphone Output switch (MONO SPLIT / STEREO),
check and make sure the CHANNEL FADER Level is not zero. If it is, adjust the LEVEL of the CHANNEL FADER.

Check and make sure MONO SPLIT is not selected on the Headphone Output switch (MONO SPLIT / STEREO). If it is, select STEREO on the Headphone Output switch.

Check and make sure MONO is not selected on the Master Output Stereo / Mono switch (MONO / STEREO). If it is, select STEREO on the Master Output Stereo / Mono switch.

Check and make sure that the VIDEO TRIM adjustment knob and/or the VIDEO MASTER OUT LEVEL adjustment knob are not on the MAX setting.
