Is the power cord properly connected? Connect the power cord to the power outlet.

Is the [CF.A, CF.B, MIC, AUX, 1, 2, MASTER] selector switch properly set? Turn the [CF.A, CF.B, MIC, AUX, 1, 2, MASTER] selector switch and set it to the channel to which you want to apply the effect.
Net Number : 42 - Q3 [SOUND COLOR FX] does not work.

Is the [COLOR] control set to an appropriate position?
Turn the [COLOR] control and [PARAMETER] control clockwise or counterclockwise.Net Number : 43 - Q4 External effecter does not work.

Please check the following four possible causes.
1. Is the mobile device properly connected to the USB port?
For proper connections, see "Connections" in the Operating Instructions.
The Operating Instructions can be obtained from the Pioneer DJ support page.2. Did you select the channel you would like to SEND by the BEAT FX effect channel selector switch?
3. Is the ON/OFF switch of SEND/RETERN turned on (blink)?
4. Are the RETURN TYPE selector switch set correctly? (See Note)

Is the external effecter's audio output level set appropriately? Adjust the external effecter's audio output level.
Net Number : 45 - Q6 Tempo (BPM) cannot be measured or tempo (BPM) measurement is not correct.

There are three possible causes.
1. If the audio input level is too high or too low, the BPM value may not be correctly measured. Adjust the [TRIM] knob so that the channel level indicator lights up to around [0 dB] at the input sound's peak level.
2. Depending on the track, the BPM value may not be correctly measured. In this case, use the [TAP] button to input the BPM value manually.Net Number : 46 - Q7 The measured tempo (BPM) value is different from the value indicated on the CDJ or RMX-1000App for iPad.

The values may differ slightly due to different methods used for measuring the BPM. This is not a malfunction.
Net Number : 47 - Q8 No sound is produced or volume is low.

There are six possible causes.
1. Is the [USB, LINE, PHONO] selector switch set to the proper position?
Turn the [USB, LINE, PHONO] selector switch and set it to the channel's input source.
2. Are connection cables properly connected? Connect the connection cables properly. For details, see "Connecting input terminals" and "Connecting output terminals" in the operating instructions.
3. Is [MASTER LEVEL] set to the proper position? Adjust [MASTER LEVEL] so that the master level indicator lights up to the orange indicator at the peak level.
4. Is [TRIM] set to the proper position? Adjust [TRIM] so that the channel level indicator lights up to the orange indicator at the peak level.
5. Are terminals and plugs dirty? Wipe any dirt off terminals and plugs before connecting.
6. Is [MASTER ATT.] set at for example [-12 dB]? Switch [MASTER ATT.] at the [UTILITY] screen. For details, see "Changing the settings" in the operating instructions.Net Number : 48 - Q9 Sound is distorted.

There are two possible causes.
1. Is [MASTER LEVEL] set to the proper position? Adjust [MASTER LEVEL] so that the master level indicator lights up to the orange indicator at the peak level.
2. Is [TRIM] set to the proper position? Adjust [TRIM] so that the channel level indicator lights up to the orange indicator at the peak level.If the sound is distorted even after the input/output level has been adjusted, the level may exceed the power amplifier's maximum allowable input level. Set an appropriate level using [MASTER OUT][ ATT] at the Setting Utility . The level can be attenuated by 25% at -12dB, by 50% at -6 dB. This setting does not affect the master level indicator.
Net Number : 49 - Q10 Sound is distorted when an analog player is connected to this unit's [PHONO] terminals, or indication on the channel level indicator does not change when the [TRIM] control is turned.

There are two possible causes.
1. Is an analog player with an internal phono equalizer connected? When using an analog player with an internal phono equalizer, connect it to the [LINE] terminals. For details, see "Connecting input terminals" in the operating instructions. If the analog player with internal phono equalizer is equipped with a PHONO/LINE selector switch, switch it to PHONO.
2. Is a computer sound card (audio interface) connected between the analog player and this unit? If the computer sound card's output has a line level, connect to the [LINE] terminals. For details, see "Connecting input terminals" in the operating instructions. If the analog player is equipped with a PHONO/LINE selector switch, switch it to PHONO.Net Number : 50 - Q11 This unit is not recognized as an audio device when it is connected to the computer.

1. The dedicated driver software must be installed on the computer beforehand. For details, see "Installing the driver software" in the operating instructions.
2. This unit and the computer must be connected properly. For details, see "Connecting this unit and computer" in the operating instructions.
If the computer can still not be connected properly, quit the DJ application, disconnect the USB cable, then reconnect the USB cable and relaunch the DJ software.
*This unit and the dedicated driver software only support Hi-Speed USB. Check that your computer, the USB port and the USB cable support Hi-Speed USB.Net Number : 51 - Q12 When a computer (Windows) is connected to this unit, a message appears on the computer's screen. What should I do?

When this unit is connected to a computer (Windows) for the first time or when it is connected to a different USB port on the computer, the message "Installing device driver software" may appear on the computer's screen. Wait awhile as such until the message "Device prepared for use" appears.
-[Connect to Windows Update to search for hardware] may appear during installation. If so, select [No, do not connect now], then click [Next] to continue installation.
-[Select the installation method] may appear during installation. If so, select [Install software automatically (recommended)], then click [Next] to continue installation.
-The [Windows Security] screen may appear during installation. If so, click [Install driver software] to continue installation.Net Number : 52 - Q13 Sound played on the computer is not output from this unit.

1. To output the sound from the computer to this unit, the dedicated driver software must be installed on the computer beforehand. For details, see "Installing the driver software" in the operating instructions.
2. This unit and the computer must be connected properly. For details, see "Connecting this unit and computer" in the operating instructions.
If the computer can still not be connected properly, quit the DJ application, disconnect the USB cable, then reconnect the USB cable and relaunch the DJ software.
3. The audio data to be output to the computer must be set using the Settings Utility. For details, see "About the setting utility software" in the operating instructions.
4. This unit must be selected in the DJ software's audio output device settings. For detailed instructions on setting, see your DJ software's operating instructions.
5. The position of the selector switch of this unit must be set to the proper position. Set the selector switch to the [USB] position.This unit and the dedicated driver software only support Hi-Speed USB. Check that your computer, the USB port and the USB cable support Hi-Speed USB.
Net Number : 53 - Q14 DJ software stops operating when computer restarts from the sleep or standby mode.

This unit operates when the computer restarts from the sleep or standby mode, but your DJ software may not. If not, quit the DJ software, disconnect the USB cable, then reconnect the USB cable and relaunch the DJ software.
Net Number : 54 - Q15 The message [Log in with the computer administrator's account.] appears and the driver software cannot be installed. (For Windows)

At [Control Panel], check that the account type at [User Account] is set to [Computer Administrator]. If not, installation is not possible.
Net Number : 55 - Q16 The message [The administrator's name and password must be input.] appears and the driver software cannot be installed. (For Mac OS)

There are six possible causes.
1. Sound skipping can be decreased by adjusting the buffer size.
Windows
When using ASIO driver, make the adjustment at the ASIO tab in the setting utility.
When using Direct Sound, make the adjustment from the DJ software.
Mac OS
Make the adjustment from the DJ software.2. When using a laptop computer, the computer's performance may be intentionally reduced through the power-saving functions. Use the computer not on the battery but with the AC adapter and cancel all power-saving settings. Also cancel the screensaver function.
3. On Windows disable "Aero" setting if it's been active.
4. The sound may also skip if the CPU usage rate is high. Other applications being used simultaneously (including resident programs) could also affect performance. Check the recommended usage environment for your application.
5. Computer's internal devices or external devices connetced to may caouse sound skipping. In that case, disable all devices not in use.
6. Some application running on the back ground may cause this problem. If so, shut the other application down.Net Number : 57 - Q18 Output sound is low or too high when USB signals are input.

If you do not operate the DJM for more than 10 hours, it will enter stand-by mode automatically (auto standby mode). If you wish to cancel the auto standby mode, turn off the mode at the auto standby setting. Please see the Operating Instructions for details.

Part of the MIDI codes of this DJM and MIDI assignment of this application happens to be equal, resulting in unexpected move of the GUI of the application.
