- Q1 Can I record DJ performances?

Recording is possible on a USB memory device, HDD, etc., connected to the USB device insertion slot.
The recorded file format is as shown below.
File type: wav
Bit size: 16 bits
Sampling frequency: 44.1 kHz

There is no function for Wi-Fi data transfer of recorded files from the XDJ-AERO.

After recording is completed, the sound can be browsed from the [PIONEER REC] category and loaded. Files that are currently being recorded cannot be loaded, however.

The USB recording function records this unit's master output.
The recording level is the pre-master level.
The sound is recorded in WAV files in the "PIONEER REC" folder on the USB device.
Approximately 90 minutes of sound can be recorded on a 1 GB USB device.
The recorded file (WAV) is automatically split every three hours of recording.
The maximum limit to the number of recorded files is 999.Net Number : 113 - Q5 "FILE MAX" is displayed when I try to use the USB recording function.

Recording is not possible if there are 999 recorded files in the "PIONEER REC" folder on the USB device or a file named "REC999.WAV".
You can record again after performing one of the operations below.
(1) The maximum number of recorded files is 999, so if you already have 999 recorded files, use your computer to delete some recorded files or move them from the "PIONEER REC" folder.
(2) If there is a file named "REC999.WAV" in the folder, change the file name.Net Number : 119 - Q6 I disconnected the USB device during USB recording or playback. Is this OK?

Disconnecting the USB device while it is being accessed could damage the USB device and make it impossible to read or write data on it.
Always press and hold in the USB STOP button until the USB STOP indicator turns off before disconnecting USB devices.Net Number : 139 - Q7 Can I record on an iPod?

USB connection with an iPod is not guaranteed.
Net Number : 140 - Q8 When recording on USB devices, the recording level stays constant even when [MASTER LEVEL] is adjusted. Is this by design?

Yes.
To adjust the recording level,
1. For DECK/PHONO/LINE inputs
Adjust with the TRIM control and channel fader.
Note, however, that if the TRIM control is turned clockwise so that the channel level indicator lights red, the input level is too high and the sound may be distorted.2. For MIC inputs

-"USB FULL" is displayed and recording stops.
-The recording completed up to the point directly before recording stops is saved.Net Number : 153 - Q10 After recording stops, the MASTER REC button's LED continues to flash for several minutes.

The MASTER REC button flashes while the recorded file is being written on the USB device. Depending on the USB device's performance and usage conditions, the writing process may take a long time.
