-
A6
Audio Stream Input/Output: An ASIO audio device driver interface.
ASIO is a protocol established by Steinberg of Germany as an application API for audio signal input/output, and is the de facto industry standard. Mac OS X's Core Audio is considered equivalent technology. There are sound drivers in Windows and MAC operating systems, but ASIO provides lower delay, higher synchronicity and higher throughput. The sound drivers provided with conventional operating systems are not designed for multi-channel input (over two channels), so multi-channel inputs for channels over two are required.Net Number : 41 - Q7 What are the audio interface function's specs?
-
A7
For Windows
ASIO: Sampling frequency - 44.1 k/48 kHz, bit depth - 16/24 bits. A maximum of 4 sets of audio signals can be input to the DJM-2000.
DirectX: Sampling frequency - 44.1 kHz, bit depth - 16 bits. Only 1 set of audio signals can be input to the DJM-2000.For Mac
ASIO: Sampling frequency - 44.1 k/48 kHz, bit depth - 16/24 bits. A maximum of 4 sets of audio signals can be input to the DJM-2000.Net Number : 43 - Q8 The sound skips when the DJM-2000 is used as an audio device.
-
A8
There are four possible causes.
1. Sound skipping can be decreased by adjusting the buffer size.
-Windows
When using ASIO, make the adjustment in the DJM-2000 utility tool.
When using Direct Sound, make the adjustment from the DJ software.
-Mac OS
Make the adjustment from the DJ application.2. When using a notebook computer, the computer's performance may be intentionally reduced through the power-saving functions. Use the computer not on the battery but with the AC adapter and cancel all power-saving settings. Also cancel the screensaver function.
3. The sound may also skip if the CPU usage rate is high. Other applications being used simultaneously (including resident programs) could also affect performance. Check the recommended usage environment for your application.
4. On Windows Vista and Windows 7, if the Windows Aero setting is enabled, disable the setting.
