- Q1 The unit doesn't recognize some USB storage devices such as USB flash drives and HDDs. Why not?

The connected USB Storage Device might not be formatted in a supported format.
The CDJ-3000 supports FAT, FAT32, exFAT,and HFS+.
Please format in one of the above formats.Note:
* NTFS is not supported.
* When updating the unit's firmware, use a USB storage device formatted in FAT or FAT32.■ Mac
USB Storage Devices used with a Mac might not be recognized due to the following reasons.
・ The CDJ-3000 does not support the GUID Partition Map Mac OS standard format.
・ USB Storage Devices formatted with Mac Extended format (case-sensitive) might not be recognized correctly.Net Number : 28 - Q2 It takes a long time to load files from a USB Storage Device.

Loading might take a long time if the folder is deep or if it contains many files. It may also take a long time to read in the following cases.
・ The folder contains many folders and/or files other than music files.
・ Data fragmentation occurs.In such cases, use another USB Storage Device or copy data from the USB Storage Device to your PC/Mac, reformat the USB Storage Device, then transfer only the music file again.
*All stored data will be cleared if you reformat the USB Storage Device. Check the appropriate method in the instruction manual of the USB Storage Device before doing so.Net Number : 29 - Q3 An error message or code appears on the main display of the CDJ-3000.

Check the error code below and take the described measures.
■ E-8302 (Error type: CANNOT PLAY TRACK)
Description of error:
Track data (files) on the storage device can’t be read correctly.
Cause and action:
The track data (file) may be corrupted.
-> Check if the track can be played with another player that supports the same formats as the CDJ-3000. If possible, re-import the music file to the location you're playing it from, e.g. a USB Storage Device.■E-8304, E-8305 (Error type: UNSUPPORTED FILE FORMAT)
Description of error:
Music files that can’t be played with the unit are loaded.
Cause and action:
The format isn’t supported by the CDJ-3000.
-> Load music files in one of the supported formats. For details, see [Product overview] in the Instruction Manual.■ USB FULL
Recording and saving of cue points are disabled due to lack of free space on the USB Storage Device.
*When the memory runs out, recording stops automatically and saves the recording until just before space ran out.You can read the Instruction Manual [here].
Net Number : 30 - Q4 I can't connect my PC/Mac to the unit in the PRO DJ LINK network.

It may take 30 seconds to 1 minute for the connection to complete. If the connection can't be made even after 1 minute, follow the procedures below.
■ When rekordbox is in Performance mode
PRO DJ LINK features such as Link Export can only be used when rekordbox is in Export mode.
Click [PERFORMANCE] in the upper left corner of the rekordbox screen to switch to [EXPORT].■ When your PC/Mac is connected to other networks at the same time
You may not be able to connect your PC/Mac properly if the PC/Mac is connected to a Wi-Fi network and to the unit via LAN at the same time.
Disconnect the other networks and try again.■ When the network is blocked by the PC/Mac's security function
The required communication may be blocked by the firewall of the OS or security software.
Disable the firewall and try again.See details on the Windows firewall [here].
Net Number : 31 - Q5 The unit often enters the emergency loop during playback.

There may be problems with the LINK status. Try the following to identify the problem.
・ Connect to another USB Storage Device or PC/Mac.
・ Replace the LAN cable or connect to a different port of the hub.
・ If you use a Wi-Fi connection, try using a wired connection.Net Number : 32 - Q6 I can't disconnect the power cord from the unit.

To disconnect the power cord from the unit, first push it into the [AC IN], then pull it out while pressing the lock button on the cord.
