Net Number : 33 - Q11 What type of amplifier should be connected to produce sound?
-
A11
DDJ-SX2 has two sets of analog master outputs (audio outputs) and one set of booth monitor outputs.
Connecting these audio outputs to the external inputs of a general amplifier, mini component system, or powered speakers enables sound to be output to speakers through an external amplifier. Connect the DDJ-SX2’s [MASTER OUT 1] terminals to a device with XLR inputs and the [MASTER OUT 2] terminals to a device with RCA inputs. Connect the [BOOTH OUT] terminals to a device with phone inputs.Net Number : 57 - Q12 Can the DDJ-SX2’s MASTER OUT 1 terminals be connected to an amplifier's RCA inputs using an XLR-RCA converter cable (converter plug)? Or can the DDJ-SX2’s MASTER OUT 2 terminals be connected to an amplifier's XLR inputs using an RCA-XLR converter cable (converter plug)?
-
A12
Performance is not guaranteed via a converter cable (converter plug).
Connect the [MASTER OUT 1] terminals to an amplifier with XLR inputs, the [BOOTH OUT] terminals to an amplifier with phone inputs, and the [MASTER OUT 2] terminals to an amplifier with RCA inputs.Net Number : 58 - Q13 What is the factory default value for the master output’s attenuator level (-6/-3/0 dB)? When do I need to change the value?
-
A13
The factory default value is 0 dB.
If sound distortion does not improve after the [MASTER LEVEL] and [TRIM] controls are adjusted, the maximum allowable input of connected power amplifier and speakers might have been exceeded. In such a case, use the attenuator level setting to set the master output to a suitable level. The output level can be reduced to 70% at -3 dB and to 50% at -6 dB.
This setting is not linked to the master level indicator. For instructions on changing the setting, see “Changing the settings” in the operating instructions.Net Number : 59 - Q14 Are there terminals that support the balanced type?
