FAQ
- Q1 I would like to know the package dimensions and weight.
-
A1
They are as follows.
Package external dimensions: 461.5 mm (W) x 356 mm (D) x 131 mm (H) / 18.2" (W) x 14" (D) x 5.2" (H)
Weight: 3.2 kg / 7.0 lb.Net Number : 15 - Q2 Do you plan to sell a dedicated carrying case?
-
A2
We have no plan to sell a dedicated carrying case for the SQUID. However, you can use DJC-TSP16 BAG for the SQUID.
Net Number : 16 - Q3 What are the differences between V/Oct and Hz/V of CV output?
-
A3
In the V/OCT method, the voltage increases by 1V per octave.
In the Hz/V method, the voltage doubles per octave.
Therefore, each setting value of the [CV Range] settings in the [CV] Setting category of this unit are as follows:
- [V/OCT 1V]: the output voltage range is from 0V ~ 1V (1 octave).
- [V/OCT 2V]: the output voltage range is from 0V ~ 2V (2 octaves).
- [V/OCT 5V]: the output voltage range is from 0V ~ 5V (5 octaves).
- [V/OCT 10V]: the output voltage range is from 0V ~ 10V (10 octaves).
- [V/OCT -5V]: the output voltage range is from −5V ~ 5V (+/−5 octaves).
- [Hz/V 8V]: the output voltage range is from 1V ~ 8V (3 octaves). In the V/OCT method, you can set the Reference Note when the CV voltage is 0V.
In the Hz/V method, the voltage doubles per octave.
Therefore, the CV voltage 1V ~ 8V represents 3 octaves as shown below.
- 1V ~ 2V: 1st octave
- 2V ~ 4V: 2nd octave
- 4V ~ 8Vt: 3rd octave
Major models using Hz/V method include the KORG MS series and the YAMAHA CS series.
The V/OCT method is used by many manufacturers such as ARP, MOOG, and Roland.Net Number : 33 - Q4 I deleted or edited a demo project. Can I restore it to factory default?
-
A4
Yes. Please go to the GLOBAL menu > [Restore Demo] to restore a deleted demo project.
Net Number : 38 - Q5 Can I share project files with my friends?
-
A5
By using the dedicated SQUID Manager, you can save projects you create on the SQUID to PC/Mac. You can share ".prj" files you save on your computer. Please use SQUID Manager when you load ".prj" files to the unit.
For details, please see the '3.2. Project window' in the SQUID Manager User's Manual.
You can download the SQUID Manager User's Manual from the Pioneer DJ support page
