When you start up VirtualDJ before DDJ-SZ is launched, this error message always appears.
First, turn on the power of DDJ-SZ and wait until the launch illumination is completed, please start up VirtualDJ.Net Number : 126 - Q2 I can't record.

Set in such a way that the file path to the location where the recording is stored does not contain 2-byte codes (used in Japanese, etc.).

This may be caused by a wrong order of launching devices. DDJ-SZ should be first connected to a computer and turn on the power of DDJ-SZ. After waiting until startup illumination is finished, launch VirtualDJ 8.
Net Number : 128 - Q4 Playback is not possible even when the [Play] button is pressed.

For Windows users, you can change the buffer size in [DDJ_SZ ASIO Settings Utility]. Please follow the steps below to prevent this issue.
(1) Click on [Start] menu of Windows and navigate through [All programs] > [Pioneer] > [DDJ_SZ]. Click on [DDJ-SZ ASIO Settings Utility] to run the utility software.
For Windows 8 users, click on [DDJ-SZ ASIO Settings Utility] on the [Start] screen.(2) Check that there are no interruptions in the sound with the default settings ([Kernel Buffers]: 3, [Buffer Size]: 256 samples).
If there are no interruptions in the sound with the default settings
Gradually decrease the buffer size, setting it to the minimum value at which there are no interruptions in the sound.
Now set the kernel buffer to [2] and check whether there are interruptions in the sound. If there are interruptions in the sound, set the kernel buffer to [3].If there are interruptions in the sound with the default settings
Set the kernel buffer to [4], then set the buffer size to the minimum value at which there are no interruptions in the sound.Net Number : 130 - Q6 The characters of the track information displayed on the track list are garbled.

The display will be garbled if the ID3 tag’s character code is set to Shift JIS.
VirtualDJ only supports Unicode characters.Net Number : 131 - Q7 Operation is possible with VirtualDJ but the sound is not output.

Please check the controls such as CH faders, crossfader, MASTER LEVEL knob and EQ knobs are in the right positions. Also, please check the Master Gain knob on the top of the application GUI is in the right position.

You can play the following file formats with VirtualDJ8.
Audio file: mp3, wav, cda, wma, asf, ogg, ogm, m4a, aac, aif, aiff, flac, mpc, ape
Video file: avi, mpeg(mpg), wmv, vob, mov, divx, mp4, m4v, vix, mkv, flv, webmHowever, you need codec supported by your computer.
DRAM protected files cannot be played.Net Number : 136 - Q9 I cannot control VirtualDJ 8's DECK using control CD/Vinyl.

(1) Is the dedicated driver installed on the computer?
It is necessary to install the dedicated driver software on the computer before connecting the unit to the computer.
The following OS are compatible with the driver software:
Windows
Windows 7...32-bit/64-bit
Windows 8...32-bit/64-bit
Windows 8.1...32-bit/64-bitMac OS
Mac OS X 10.9/10.8/10.7/10.6 32-bit/64-bit
For details, see the operating instructions "Installing the driver software".(2) Are the unit and the computer properly connected via USB cable?
The unit and the computer must be properly connected.
*The unit and the dedicated driver software are only compatible with Hi-Speed USB.
Confirm whether your computer, USB port or USB cable supports Hi-Speed USB.(3) Is the VirtualDJ 8 software up to date?
Also, refer to "Software compatibility" of "DDJ-SZ" on the Pioneer DJ support page for Virtual DJ 8 compatible OS.(4) Is the position of the input selector switch of the mixer set to [USB DECK*]?
Turn and set the input selector switch to [USB DECK*].(5) Is [TRIM] set to the proper position?
Adjust [TRIM] such that the orange indicator on the channel level indicator lights up at the peak level.(6) Is [MASTER LEVEL] set to the proper position?
Adjust [MASTER LEVEL] such that the orange indicator on the master level indicator lights at the peak level.(7) Are the terminals or plugs dirty?
Wipe any dirt off the terminals and plugs before connecting.(8) This may be caused by a wrong order of launching devices. DDJ-SZ should be first connected to a computer and turn on the power of DDJ-SZ. After waiting until startup illumination is finished, launch the DJ software.
Net Number : 140 - Q11 It takes time for the unit to be recognized after VirtuajDJ 8 is started.

When multiple ASIO drivers have been installed on the computer, it may take time for this unit to be recognized by VirtualDJ 8 after startup. Uninstall unnecessary ASIO drivers. For the uninstalling method, check with the maker of the respective ASIO driver.
