Q1 Can this unit be used as a sound device?

Yes, by installing this unit's dedicated driver software on the computer.

Q2 Is operation possible even when the USB sound card built into this unit and the sound card of another device are connected to the same computer?

Normal operation is not guaranteed in this case. We strongly recommend connecting only this unit to the computer's USB port when using this unit.

Q3 Can this unit be used for MIDI control of DJ software?
A3

Yes.
This unit outputs MIDI signals synchronized with operation of buttons and controls, so it can be used to control DJ software on the computer connected to the USB port. For instructions on making the MIDI output settings, see this unit's operating instructions.

Q4 Can I input the music tracks managed in iTunes into the USB sound card (Audio interface) of the unit?

Yes, you will be able to do so if you install the dedicated driver software of this unit on your PC.
-Windows
Display the [Run] dialog box from the [Start Menu], enter [mmsys.cpl], and then click [OK]. The audio settings window opens. Select [PIONEER XDJ-RX2] in [Sound playback] in the [Audio] tab.
-Mac
In [Select a device for sound output] on the [Output] tab in [Sound] of [System Preferences], select [PIONEER XDJ-RX2] from the sound devices.

If MIXER MODE is set to XDJ-RX2, the sound will be input to channel 1 of this unit. It cannot be input to other channels.

Q5 How should I set the DJ application's audio settings when the mixer mode is set to the "XDJ-RX2"?

When the mixer mode is set to the "XDJ-RX2", two channels worth of the DJ application's sound can be input to the XDJ-RX2. Set this as shown below.

Windows
To input to channel 1 on the XDJ-RX2:
-L: PIONEER XDJ-RX2 OUT 1
-R: PIONEER XDJ-RX2 OUT 2
To input to channel 2 on the XDJ-RX2:
-L: PIONEER XDJ-RX2 OUT 3
-R: PIONEER XDJ-RX2 OUT 4

Mac
To input to channel 1 on the XDJ-RX2:
-L: PIONEER XDJ-RX2 OUT 0
-R: PIONEER XDJ-RX2 2OUT 1
To input to channel 2 on the XDJ-RX2:
-L: PIONEER XDJ-RX2 OUT 2
-R: PIONEER XDJ-RX2 OUT 3
