By doing so you can use DJ software for DJ performances, creating and recording tracks, etc. This unit supports two interfaces: "USB control" for synchronizing the operation of buttons and controls, and "USB sound card" for converting audio signals between this unit and the computer.

The CD-ROM includes the exclusive "driver software" required for communications with the computer and the "setting utility" for easily setting various audio paths on the computer screen. When installed properly, the USB sound card (audio interface) and USB-HID control exclusively for the TRAKTOR 2 software can be used.
For instructions on installing the driver software and making settings, including with the setting utility, see "Installing the driver software", "Setting this unit" and "Changing the setting utility's settings" in this unit's operating instructions. For the settings on the DJ software, see your DJ software's operating instructions.

Generally speaking, driver software refers to the software allowing the computer to recognize peripheral devices. With this unit, dedicated driver software allowing the computer to recognize the built-in USB sound card (audio interface) is provided on the included CD-ROM.

When the included driver software is installed on the computer, the standards below are supported.
Windows
ASIO: Stereo audio signals with a sampling frequency of 48 kHz and bit depth of 24 bits can be input/output simultaneously for three sets of inputs and three sets of outputs.
DirectX: Stereo audio signals with a sampling frequency of 48 kHz and bit depth of 24 bits can be input/output simultaneously for one set of inputs/outputs. USB1/2 is used as the input.Mac OS

USB-HID control is a control interface exclusively for the TRAKTOR 2 software and certified by Native Instruments. It offers features that only a dedicated interface could provide, such as easy setup.
USB-MIDI control is a general use control interface for control between MIDI-compatible software and this unit. It can be used for many types of DJ software, including TRAKTOR 2.

This unit can be operated as a general use USB-MIDI controller. MIDI is a universal standard, and many types of DJ software, such as Atomix' "VIRTUAL DJ", MIXVIBES' "CROSS", etc., in addition to Native Instruments' TRAKTOR 2 and TRAKTOR SCRATCH 2, support MIDI control. Applications operating on 64 bits are not supported, but currently no such DJ software is available on the market.

Yes. When this unit and the computer are connected and iTunes is played, the sound is input to this unit's channel 1. It cannot be input to other channels. Also, files containing DRM data cannot be played.
If sound is not input when the above operation is performed, perform the following operation:
Windows
At the [Run command] dialog box in the [Start Menu], input [mmsys.cpl], then press [OK]. The audio settings window opens. Select "Pioneer DJM-T1" at [Sound playback] in the [Audio] tab.
*This cannot be used simultaneously with the ASIO driver.Mac OS
At the [Output] tab under [System Environment Settings] > [Sound], select "Sound output device", then select "Pioneer DJM-T1" from the sound devices. This unit's input channel can be changed by selecting "Pioneer DJM-T1" at the [Audio MIDI Settings] under [Applications] > [Utilities] then using the [Configure speakers ...] dialog.Net Number : 54 - Q12 Can I use DJS (DJ software)?

With DJS, this unit's USB sound card (audio interface) function can be used, but DJS control using this unit's MIDI control function is not possible (because DJS is not MIDI-compatible). Use the mouse, keyboard, etc., to operate DJS.
