- Q1 Do I need to purchase a sound card (audio interface) separately?

This unit has a built-in USB sound card, so there is no need to purchase a separate external type sound card.

For the installation procedure, see "Installing the driver software" in this unit's operating instructions. Below is the procedure for uninstalling.
Windows 7
1. In the control panel, open [Programs and Functions].
2. Select [Pioneer DJM-T1 Driver], then click [Uninstall/Change].
3. Operate following the instructions that appear on the screen.
If you are asked for the administrator's password or verification, input the password or provide the verification information.Windows Vista
1. In the control panel, click [Programs] to open [Programs and Functions].
2. Select [Pioneer DJM-T1 Driver], then click [Uninstall/Change].

We do not recommend doing so, as this may lead to such symptoms as sound interruptions.

UBS hubs are not supported.
Net Number : 24 - Q6 Is operation possible even when the USB sound card built into this unit and the sound card of another device are connected to the same computer?

We cannot guarantee normal operation if this is done. We recommend connecting only this unit to the computer's USB port when using it.
Net Number : 25 - Q7 I would like to use this unit to operate and input/output sound with a different brand of DJ software, not the included TRAKTOR SCRATCH DUO 2. Is this possible simply by connecting this unit and the computer by USB cable?

After connecting the USB cable, you must make the required settings on this unit, in the setting utility and on your DJ software. Use USB-MIDI control to operate the DJ software.
1. To operate the DJ software and reflect the status of the different functions in the lighting status of this unit's buttons (USB-MIDI control)
For the operating procedure, see "Operating DJ software using MIDI signals" in this unit's operating instructions. For the settings on the DJ software, see your DJ software's operating instructions.
2. To input/output the sound of the DJ software (USB sound card)
First you must install the designated driver software on the computer. For details on installing the driver software and operating the USB sound card (audio interface), see "Installing the driver software", "Setting this unit" and "Changing the setting utility's settings" in this unit's operating instructions. For the settings on the DJ software, see your DJ software's operating instructions.Net Number : 26 - Q8 I would like to use DJ software. Is there a specific order in which I have to connect the USB cable and launch the DJ software, or can I do these in either order?

With Windows Vista/7, if this unit is connected to the computer after the DJ software is launched, the DJ software may not recognize this unit. Launch the DJ software after connecting this unit and the computer.
Net Number : 27 - Q9 When I connected this unit to my computer the first time by USB, the installation procedure was canceled before this unit could be used. How do I reinstall it? (The same thing happens when connected to other USB ports on the computer.)

As such, reconnect the USB cable. The reinstallation wizard may or may not start. If it does, you can continue installing as such. Follow the wizard to the end to install. If it doesn't, use the CD-ROM included with this unit to reinstall the driver software.
