When browsing the ARTIST, ALBUM, TRACK or PLAYLIST category in libraries transferred from rekordbox:

By using rekordbox, tracks can be classified by genre, playlists can be created, cue and loop points can be set, etc., ahead of time on a computer. When music files that have been analyzed with rekordbox are transferred to a USB storage device and the device is connected to this unit, tracks can be selected by genre, album name, artist name and playlists you have created, so specific tracks can be found quickly from among a large number of tracks. Also, cue points that have been set with rekordbox can be called out on this unit, so you can start playing tracks quickly.

A library is a unique database for searching for music files with this unit by category (ALBUM, ARTIST, TRACK, PLAYLIST, etc.).
Transfer the library and music files created with the “rekordbox” music management software to a USB storage device and connect the USB storage device to this unit’s USB port. rekordbox can be downloaded from the Pioneer DJ Support Site.

Only libraries created with rekordbox can be loaded in this unit. However, playlists, M3U and PLS files created with iTunes can be loaded in rekordbox. Transfer the loaded playlists to a USB storage device to use them.

A minimum of 600 kB is required to create a library. In addition, up to about 103 kB of free space is needed per track. We recommend deleting files from the USB storage device beforehand to increase the amount of free space.

For CDs, up to 100 points can be stored per CD. For music files on USB storage devices, 10 points can be stored per file.

The resume function is a function for CDs that stores the point last being played. With this function, if a CD is ejected accidentally, playback can be resumed from the position that was playing when the CD was ejected when the CD is reloaded. The resume information is lost if another CD is played or this unit’s power is turned off.

SACDs have a 2-layer structure, consisting of a high sound quality SACD layer and a CD layer with the same sound quality as CDs. WAV (16-bit/44.1 kHz) is also supported. WAV files recorded on CDs, however, are not supported. Use a USB storage device to play WAV files.

We recommend use of the FAT32 format. NTFS, HFS and HFS+ are disabled.
