-
A12
You can save up to 1024 patterns in one project.
Each project consists of 16 tracks, and each track can save up to 64 patterns.

-
A14
Yes. When you press the pad while holding down the SHIFT button in TRACK MUTE mode, the track on the pad becomes SOLO.
Net Number : 43 - Q15 How do I change the pattern length?
-
A15
There are four ways to change the length of patterns.
1. In trigger mode or CC mode, hold down the [SHIFT] button and press the [◀]/[▶] button to change the page length between 1 and 4. You can change the pattern length by the 16 pads (steps) as one page.
2. In trigger mode or CC mode, hold down the [ACTIVE] button and press the pad to toggle Active/Inactive. The Inactive pad is skipped, so you can change the pattern length per step.
3. In trigger mode, hold down the pad and turn the [COUNT/CC4] knob. You can change the length of each pad (step) between 1 and 4.
4. Press the [FIXED LENGTH] button. When it is turned on, the pattern length is fixed by the set beat. To change the FIXED LENGTH, hold down the [SHIFT] button and press the [FIXED LENGTH] button.
Net Number : 44 - Q16 How does the SQUID work when I set [IN Sync Mode] to [GATE] or [1step] in the [CLOCK] settings in the GLOBAL menu?
-
A16
[GATE] and [1step] differ from conventional timing clock used for sync performance, therefore you can control the
playback of the sequence patterns on the SQUID differently.[1step]: the sequence pattern is advanced by one step when 1 pulse is input. With a constant period of pulse signal input, it works the same way as the 4ppqn settings.
[GATE]:Gate Input of V-Trigger.
A pattern plays while the Gate signal is being input and pauses while no Gate signal is being input. If the Gate signal is input while the sequence pattern is in the stopping state, the sequence pattern playback will start from the first step.・ When using the CLOCK IN terminal as a gate input, please set [Sync Source] in the [Sync Common] setting category in the GLOBAL menu other than [CLOCK].
If you set the CLOCK IN terminal to [GATE] and set [Sync Source] to [CLOCK], the reference clock to play the sequence pattern will disappear, therefore the sequence pattern will not be played even if the gate signals are inputted.
・ The CLOCK IN terminal corresponds to V-Trigger only, so even if you connect a S-Trigger device like a foot pedal, you can't control the SQUID with [1step] or [GATE] setting.Net Number : 49 - Q17 Can I edit pattern parameters from a Windows PC/Mac, etc?
-
A17
You can't edit them directly, however, you can use the dedicated software 'SQUID Manager' to forward SQUID's patterns to Windows PC/Mac as standard MIDI files and then return them as the SQUID's patterns after editing them with DAW software, etc.
You can download the latest SQUID Manager from here.
https://www.pioneerdj.com/en/support/software/production/toraiz-squid/NOTE:
The specifications of the SQUID and MIDI files are not the same, so the SQUID patterns after the conversion may not be able to completely reproduce the original MIDI files.Net Number : 51 - Q18 Can I add patterns from a Windows PC/Mac, etc?
-
A18
Yes.
By using the dedicated software 'SQUID Manager', you can forward the standard MIDI files stored in the Windows PC/Mac to this unit and perform/edit them as patterns on this unit. Please use DAW software, etc. to create standard MIDI files.
