FAQ
- Q1 Can I use a stereo microphone?
-
A1
Stereo microphones are not supported. Use a monaural microphone.
Net Number : 18 - Q2 Can signals be output simultaneously from the MASTER and BOOTH outputs?
-
A2
Yes.
Net Number : 19 - Q3 What should the master level indicator be set to in order to output 2V? Also, is [MASTER ATT] related to the master level indicator?
-
A3
When [MASTER ATT] is set to 0 dB, the MASTER1 output (XLR) is 2Vrms when the master level indicator is at +3 dB, and the MASTER2 output (PIN) is 2Vrms when the master level indicator is at about +6 dB (off the scale). The movement of the master level indicator does not change when [MASTER ATT] is turned down.
Net Number : 20 - Q4 How should the channel level indicator be used when adjusting the input? Conversely, how should the master level indicator be used when adjusting the output? Also, up to how many dB can the unit output without distortion?
-
A4
Adjust the TRIM control so that the channel level indicator lights around 0 dB at the peak level of the input audio.
Similarly, adjust the MASTER LEVEL control so that the master level indicator lights around 0 dB at the peak level of the output audio.
When MASTER ATT. is 0 dB, output without distortion is possible up to 21 dB.
When digital clipping occurs internally, the CLIP indicator will flash quickly.*You can lessen the occurrence of sudden, unpleasant digital clipping of the master output by setting [UTILITY] > [MASTER LIMITER] to ON.
*Use [UTILITY] > [MASTER ATT.] to appropriately set the attenuation level of the audio output from the MASTER 1 and MASTER 2 terminals to match an acceptable input level of the device connected at a subsequent stage.
Net Number : 21 - Q5 There are three types of volume adjustments, with the GAIN (TRIM), channel fader and MAIN VOL (MASTER LEVEL) controls. What is the difference between them?
-
A5
GAIN
This adjusts the audio level input from external devices to the respective decks. Depending on the MAIN VOL value, sound may be output even if GAIN is turned all the way down.Channel fader
These adjust the audio level output from the respective decks for mixing.MAIN VOL
This adjusts the audio level output from this unit to external devices.Net Number : 22 - Q6 I have connected the effecter to the SEND/RETURN terminals, but the Echo effect tail cannot be heard after the fader is closed. Why is this?
-
A6
When INSERT is selected from the RETURN TYPE of SEND/RETURN and the effect channel is set to the respective channel, you cannot hear the Echo effect tail. Post-fader effects allow the Echo effect tail to be heard even after the fader is closed when CROSSFADER A, CROSSFADER B or MASTER is selected as the effect channel.
