1. The TORAIZ AS-1 monophonic analog synthesizer.
By connecting the TORAIZ AS-1 with this unit using a MIDI cable, you can play the AS-1 in sync with this unit thanks to MIDI timing clock. You can also play the TORAIZ AS-1 using patterns you've created on the SQUID.2. DAW.
By connecting your PC/Mac with this unit using a USB cable, you can use your DAW in sync with this unit thanks to MIDI timing clock. The SQUID can also play up to 16 software instruments in your DAW software using patterns you've created on the unit.Net Number : 5 - Q2 Can I use this unit without an internet connection?

We don't plan to sell a rack mount kit specifically for this unit (as of April 2019). If you are considering rack mount installation, you will need to, for example, ask a rack manufacturer to perform the work.

The specifications are as follows.
CV OUT: V/OCT and Hz/V
- V/OCT: 5 range support (1V, 2V, 5V, 10V, - 5V ~ 5V)
You can set Reference Note for 0V.
- Hz/V: 3 octave support ( 1V - 8V )GATE OUT: V-Trigger and S-Trigger
- V-Trigger: Selectable output voltage ( 5 V or 12V )You can change these settings in the [CV] setting and [GATE] setting categories of the GLOBAL menu.

The terminal is a stereo mini-jack and outputs START/STOP and CLOCK signals.
The voltage levels of each signal are 5 V.
You can select CLOCK signals from 5 output formats: 1ppqn, 2ppqn, 4ppqn, 24ppqn, and 48ppqn.
And, you can select CLOCK Polarity from Negative trigger ( − ) or Positive trigger ( +)You can change these settings in the [CLOCK] setting category of the GLOBAL menu.

The terminal is a stereo mini-jack and inputs START/STOP and CLOCK signals.
The standard input voltage levels of each signal are 5V.
You can select CLOCK signals input from 7 output formats: 1step, 1ppqn, 2ppqn, 4ppqn, 24ppqn, 48ppqn, and GATE.
And, you can select CLOCK Polarity from Negative trigger ( − ) or Positive trigger ( +)
1step (1 Pulse Per Step): A pattern is advanced by one step when 1 pulse is input to the timing clock.
GATE: A pattern plays while the Gate signal is being input and pauses while no Gate signal is being input.You can change these settings in the [CLOCK] setting category of the GLOBAL menu.

Yes. Compared to the AC adapter connection, however, there are restrictions on functions such as reduced brightness of the buttons, pads, and display.

If you connect multiple SQUIDs, each USB-B terminal will be recognized as a separate port.
To use with DAW software, properly set the following settings:

We don't recommend it and we can't also guarantee performance, because MIDI communication may delay depending on the USB hub you use. If you have no choice but to connect via the USB hub, please make sure that there are no problems with MIDI communication.

Yes. If you use it for DIN SYNC, please use the MIDI cable with all 5 pins wired.

If you're using a PC/Mac that only has a USB Type-C port, you'll need a USB Type-C (plug) to USB Type-A (socket) conversion cable (sold separately).

Connecting via a USB hub may cause unwanted noise or malfunction.
