FAQ
- Q1 What sort of amplifier should I connect to produce sound?
-
A1
This unit is equipped with two sets of MASTER outputs (audio outputs).
The sound can be output to speakers via an external amplifier by connecting these audio outputs to the external inputs of a regular amplifier, mini-component or powered speakers. Connect this unit's MASTER1 output terminals to the amplifier's XLR inputs, the MASTER2 output terminals to the amplifier's RCA inputs.Net Number : 3 - Q2 What are the conditions for players that can be used in combination with this unit?
-
A2
They must be turntables that can play analog records (analog players) or CDJ players that can play music CDs (CD-DA). In both cases, check that they are equipped with audio output terminals.
Net Number : 4 - Q3 Are there terminals supporting balanced type inputs/outputs?
-
A3
The following terminals support balanced type inputs/outputs:
-MASTER1 output terminals (XLR)
-BOOTH output terminal (TRS)
-MIC1,2 input terminal (XLR/TRS)
-SUBWOOFER output terminal (TRS)
-ZONE output terminal (TRS)Net Number : 5 - Q4 Can this unit's MASTER1 outputs be connected to an amplifier's RCA inputs using an XLR-RCA converter cable (converter plug)? Also, can this unit's MASTER2 outputs be connected to an amplifier's XLR inputs using an RCA-XLR converter cable (converter plug)?
-
A4
Performance is not guaranteed with connections via a converter cable (converter plug).
Connect the MASTER 1 outputs to an amplifier with XLR inputs, the MASTER 2 outputs to an amplifier with RCA inputs.Net Number : 6 - Q5 What are the specifications of the SEND/RETURN terminals?
-
A5
The sound for the position selected with the SEND/RETURN channel selector switch (the pre-channel fader sound, master sound or microphone sound) is output to an external device through the SEND terminal. After this, the sound processed on the external device is returned to the selected position through the RETURN terminal. The positions of the selector switch are described below. For details, see the block diagram in the operating instructions.

A7
It is a balanced terminal.
For its polarities as seen from the front of the terminal, see the diagram.
Net Number : 9 - Q8 Is the sound output from the REC OUT terminals the same as the sound output from the MASTER outputs?
-
A8
The sound is the same, but it is not affected by the master volume setting.
